This position requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Poultry Science, Food Science, Animal Science, Meat Science, or related field and 7 years of meat processing and meat product development experience. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Masters degree or equivalent in Poultry Science, Food Science, Animal Science, Meat Science, or related field and 2 years of meat processing and meat product development experience. Must also have 24 months of demonstrated ability with each of the following Technical skills related to meatprotein functionalitychemistry and meat processingproduct development; Planning, designing, and executing teststrials from bench top experiments to full production scale, and analyzing, interpreting, and communicating test results with externalinternal cross functional team members to make sound technical recommendations for assigned projects; Conducting troubleshooting and root cause analysis for product maintenance issues; Understanding and complying with USDA rules and regulations; Applying knowledge of functional food ingredients and applications in meat products; and Understanding meat pilot plant processing equipment design and its functioning. Will accept experience gained before, during, or after Masters program. Will accept experience gained concurrently. Candidates will be required to pass a drug test before beginning employment.
