Professional or academic research experience must include Handson execution of total and partial catalytic oxidation and reduction chemistry in fixed bed apparatus; Handson execution of determining multicomponent at least 5 kinetic and equilibria analysis; Creation of project plans and handson laboratory execution to develop rate laws and kinetic models for complicated multiphase reactions; Developing cogent reaction mechanisms consistent with kinetic data; Performing statistical analysis of reaction simulations; Metal catalyst synthesis and characterization through tests including and not limited to chemisorption and infrared spectroscopy, and thermal gravimetric analysis; Strong understanding of chemistry and chemical engineering concepts, to solve problems with an approach based on chemistry and physics first principles applied to reaction mechanisms; Executing, running, and analyzing gt; 400 analytical samples per day, each with five points total gt;2000 samples; Reactions performed in a selfcustommade apparatus for intrinsic rate measurements with automated flow, temperature control and GC analysis of products.br br Experience and other requirements may have been gained prior to conferral of Ph.D. degree.br br Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
