Requires a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, plus five 5 years of thermal engineering or related engineering experience in computational fluid dynamics CFD or heat transfer.br br Alternatively, will accept a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, plus two 2 years of thermal engineering or related engineering experience in computational fluid dynamics CFD or heat transfer.br br Experience must include 1 Two 2 years of experience performing CFD simulations and analysis for thermal management using STARCCM, including analysis and CFD modeling of MultiPhase flows; and 2 One 1 year of experience in development of thermal management systems for air and liquid cooled high voltage battery systems; research and development of cold plates for battery cooling; analysis, specification, and selection of thermal components such as Heat Exchangers, Pumps and HVAC systems; development of test plans for validation testing for components, battery modules and packs; and development of 1D battery thermal models using MATLAB and Simulink.br br Specific skills Position also requires experience or knowledge in 1 Knowledge of Cylindrical and Pouch battery thermal behavior and electrochemical characteristics; 2 Experience in Battery Design Studio BDS and Battery Simulation Modeling; 3 Knowledge in research, analysis, and selection of thermal interface materials and gap fillers for efficient battery thermal management; 4 Experience developing 1D models using tools such as MATLAB and GTPower; 5 Research and publication experience academic or industrial in the field of numerical simulationsCFD or Heat transfer; 6 Using LINUX operating systems and running simulations on LINUX Clusters; and 7 Experience in technical presentation for technical conferences or customersbr br Any level of knowledge, experience andor coursework in the specific skills is acceptable.
