Position required a Ph.D, or foreign equivalent, in Polymer Science, Physical Chemistry, Material Science or a related discipline and five 5 years of related industry experience in chemistry or materials scienceengineering laboratories. Experience must have included five 5 years of experience with the following Using lab equipment for material characterization to measure viscosity, crush strength, particle size distribution, durability index, tensile strength, compression strength, and thermal properties; Master design and execution of experimental plans for evaluation and optimization of diverse chemical processes; Designing and running experiments including election of sampling procedures, analytical methods and analysis using rheological methods and instrumentation; Designing, setting up, operating and maintaining lab and pilot equipment; Analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, NMR, UVVis, DSC, or TGA; Safe hazardous material handling and hazardous communication requirements and procedures; and Process scale up experience from bench to pilot to industrial production.br br Position also requires up to 15 of national and international travel.
