The position requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Engineering including Mechanical or a related field PLUS five 5 years of progressive postbaccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in a related position. Position also requires demonstrable experience with each of the the following Using actuarial techniques related to underwriting, claims, regulatory environment, reinsurance, product development, and industry trends, evaluating the pricing models and rate levels, forecasting operational metrics, evaluating reinsurance contracts, and advanced capital modeling techniques; Advanced analytical, problemsolving, and research abilities, including the use of VBA in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; SAS or R programming skills; Advanced ResQ and ResQ VBA skills; Working experience with foreign insurance operations and regulators; Solvency II reporting and calculations in particular the Technical Provisions; Stochastic reserving and performing stress scenario testing; Implementing a corporate governance framework; Applying the depthbreadth of actuarial skill and business acumen; and Demonstrable ability to write detailed reserve reports for senior management and regulators. Position also requires Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society FCAS designation or similar designation with a comparable actuarial society including nonU.S. actuarial societies. Travel required up to 10.
