BMC Health Systems is a notforprofit corporation which oversees the operations of its subsidiaries and affiliates. It is the sole corporate member of BMC BMCHP. BMC is a communitybased, academic medical center and the primary teaching affiliate of Boston University School of Medicine. BMCHP is a managed care organization founded by BMC in 1997, which offers Medicaid and Commonwealth care health insurance coverage. BMCHS currently employs an estimated 428 employees in Population Health and Information Technology services, and is expected to grow. BMCHS has annual operating revenues of 2.8 billion. BMCHS is currently reorganizing its internal corporate structure including IT services. The position of Programmer Analyst III is a technically advanced challenging position. It involves providing seniorlevel support for software applications to affiliate BMCHP, including claims, care management network management. It also involves leading coordinating the development, configuration and implementation of the applications, working with multiple parties including business representatives IT management. The job duties responsibilities are critical to ensuring the proper implementation maintenance of the companys majorprocess software. The position also demands the ability to establish development standards and guidelines, as well as lead and mentor junior staff members. These are all advancedlevel duties responsibilities that require the Programmer Analyst III to have indepth understanding of computer science principles, as well as several years of hands on, professional software development maintenance experience. As a result, we have determined that a Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience are the minimum qualifications necessary to perform the job duties of the position.
