Experience preparing andor prosecuting patent applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Experience in technical writing. Experience in intellectual property subject matter. Experience with the process used by the United States Patent and Trademark Office patent system, including the process for filing a patent application and resulting patent prosecution actions. Experience interpreting engineering drawings and related concepts including, but not limited to, those relating to wireless telecommunications, software, and hardware. Experience analyzing existing patents, patent publications, and other technical documents to determine differences between these references and features recited in patent claims. Experience drafting and revising portions of Office Action responses in collaboration with licensed individuals to be submitted to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Experience providing detailed guidance in collaboration with licensed individuals related to prosecution of utility patent applications, continuation applications, divisional applications, and international patent filings. Experience analyzing invention disclosure materials prepared by inventors for a patent application andor participating in an invention disclosure. Experience aiding licensed practitioners in preparing patent applications andor preparing responses to U.S. Patent and Trademark Office substantive office actions. Must be willing to work nights and weekends, when necessary.br br H.12 Business Necessity Statement The Company has a business necessity to hire Patent Engineers with appropriate education and experience for our positions. The Patent Engineer in this position needs a Masters degree and one year of experience or a Bachelors degree and five years of postdegree progressive experience. The Companys Patent team requires this position to have prior experience in preparing andor prosecuting patent applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office in order to provide technical input to licensed patent attorneys and patent agents who are drafting, converting, and prosecuting patent applications.
