Requires a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a technical role performing project implementation. In lieu of a Masters degree in stated field and 2 years of experience as stated, will accept a Bachelors degree in stated field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a technical role performing project implementation. All stated experience must include the following communicating complex technical concepts in business terms to business groups and senior management through presentations and written reports; performing research in highly technical topics utilizing various primary and secondary sources; and, implementing foreign competitive procurement processes for wholesale electricity markets including bidding rules, prequalification legal, financial and technical of buyers and sellers, Bid and Performance Bonds for buyers and sellers, auctions that maximize economic surplus for buyers, and Power Purchase Agreements. Must also have experience working on and developing IT solutions for projects within the electricity sector related to smart grid applications, electric distribution systems, distributed generation, gridconnected renewable energy, energy regulation, competitive electricity procurement, and financial costbenefit analyses. Experience may be gained concurrently. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 50 of working time. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training andor experience which would qualify an applicant for this position.
