Will alternatively accept 6 years of experience in an automotive exterior systems engineering management position, in lieu of a Bachelor Degree and 4 years of experience in an automotive exterior systems engineering management position. 4 years of experience with each of the following supervising and coordinating new thermoplastic automotive exterior systems programs involving front end modules, outer panels, joining technologies, liftgates, and longglass fiber materials from inception to production, including developing methods for connecting thermoplastic and coated components; evaluating program feasibility issues throughout all phases of program development for thermoplastic automotive liftgates, tailgates, and exterior modules; thermoplastic exterior automotive parts program and project budget administration, including revising and approving external quotations for both new programs and engineering changes; leading the development of composite thermoplastic automotive exterior parts, including lightweight designs, exterior chrome paints and films, and product development engineering for advanced thermoforming operations, long glass fiber thermoplastic materials, front end modules, paint film backmolding, and structural parts; performing engineering design and development activities for hybrid automotive liftgate and tailgate concepts, including thermoplastic liftgate virtual simulation projects. Experience can be acquired concurrently.br br This is a key product line management position with Magna Exteriors America Holdings, Inc., responsible for planning, directing, and controlling product design, development, and manufacturing activities for thermoplastic automotive liftgates, tailgates, and exterior modules. Because this is a key technical management position, requiring extensive knowledge of, and experience with, applicable concepts and issues, a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering, or foreign equivalent, and 4 years of experience in an automotive exterior systems engineering management position is required. Will alternatively accept 6 years of experience in an automotive exterior systems engineering management position, in lieu of a Bachelor Degree and 4 years of experience in an automotive exterior systems engineering management position.
