BACHELORS DEGREE IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING The design of mechanical systems and equipment requires an indepth understanding of the issues to be addressed along with thebr specialized technical knowledge of the strategies and methodologies relied upon in the design and creation of solutions to such issues. University programs in the field prepare their graduates to meet these challenges not only as economically and efficiently as possible but with attention devoted to safety. As mentioned above, the industries which rely on our products include steel mills, refineries, power plants, and wind turbines. An error in design can be devastating with far reaching consequences. TWO YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A MECHANICAL ENGINEER, ANY TITLEThe performance of the duties of the position offered requires knowledge of, and experience in mechanical engineering. The Mechanical Engineering degree plus the required experience will have provided the employee with both the theoretical and practical knowledge of how products work and the reason for decisions made in design of products. Only with this practical experience will the employee be able to participate in the actual design of our products. We do not require that the experience be in a particular industry, or specialty of mechanical engineering. Rather, as long as the employee has the requisite two years of experience in mechanical engineering, she will be able to perform the duties of the position within a reasonable period of time. Therefore, the title of the position previously held by a candidate is not relevant to us.br We respectfully submit that the requirements for the job are normal for the occupation. Even if that were found not to be the case, they are justified by business necessity and bear more than a reasonable relationship to the duties of the job offered within the context of our business. In the absence of these requirements, the employee wouldbr not be able to execute the duties.
