This position requires that a successful candidate must have a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Actuarial Science or related field and 2 years of experience implementing actuarial concepts including trending, development, and extension of exposures, and applying statistical methods to solve problems. Experience must include developing and maintaining a framework system of interactive data sets and models for forecasts of pure premium, retention, and premiums; Proposing, testing, and implementing new models and methodologies into existing actuarial frameworks; Designing analyses used to identify underlying patterns that are key contributors drivers of high level results; Managing large datasets and in organizing information and results for optimal usability and relevance for a variety of endusers.; utilizing SAS, creating predictive models using R, and packaging results using the Shiny app. ACAS or FCAS required.br br QUALIFICATIONS OF THE FOREIGN NATIONAL See also Sections J and Kbr br Ms. Yu readily meets the minimum education requirement for the position. In May 2014, Ms. Yu was awarded a Master of Science degree in Actuarial Science from Boston University in Boston, MA. Therefore, Ms. Yu clearly meets the minimum education requirement for the position.br br Ms. Yu was employed by Homesite Group Incorporated in the role of Actuarial Associate from February 27, 2016 to February 22, 2019. In this capacity, she implemented actuarial concepts including trending, development, and extension of exposures. Ms. Yu applied statistical methods to solve problems. She developed and maintained a framework system of interactive data sets and models for forecasts of pure premium, retention, and premiums. Ms. Yu proposed, tested, and implemented new models and methodologies into existing actuarial frameworks. She designed analyses used to identify underlying patterns that are key contributors drivers of high level results. Ms. Yu managed large datasets and in organizing information and results for optimal usability and relevance for a variety of endusers. She utilized SAS, creating predictive models using R. Ms. Yu packaged results using the Shiny app.br br On July 13, 2018, Ms. Yu gained obtained ACAS.br br Ms. Yu was employed by Homesite Group Incorporated in the role of Senior Analyst from June 30, 2014 to February 26, 2016. In this capacity, Ms. Yu worked using the Actuarial approaches Liner regression, EOE, Onlevel, Credibility weighted methods for indication components analysis. She utilized paid, Incurred, BornhuetterFerguson, and frequencyseverity methods for reserving analysis Software Skill. Ms. Yu utilized advanced level SAS, SQL, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Intermediate in R, and Access.br br As a result of her more than two years of qualifying experience as described above, Ms. Yu meets the experience requirement for the position.
