Ph.D. by August 17, 2019 in Petroleum Engineering or closely related field candidates with an MS in Petroleum Engineering and equivalent industry experience were considered, and evidence of teaching effectiveness as demonstrated by an oncampus interview and teaching demonstration. Although not required for selection, additional preference was accorded to candidates with any one of the following expertise in drilling engineering, production engineering, andor unconventional reservoirs shale gasoil, which could be evidenced by research or relevant experience; ABETaccredited BS in Petroleum Engineering; at least one academic year 9 months of collegelevel teaching experience, which could be full or parttime, evidencing the ability to teach a capstone course; at least one academic year 9 months industry experience or academic experience fostering close collaboration with industry partners; or familiarity with the ABET accreditation process. Applicants were informed that finalists must complete an oncampus interview and teaching demonstration, and that background investigations are required for all new hires as a condition of employment.
