Will accept 10 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors degree plus 8 years of experience. Experience specified must include 8 years or 10 if no degree in each of the following communicating and negotiating coverage and pricing with brokers and clients; performing technical risk assessment for casualty lines of business; experience in Excel andor other casualty pricing tools; obtaining and interpreting market intelligence; determining market size, key players, interpreting loss data and identifying trends, evaluating market data to support potential development in new areas, assess opportunities for new products depending on market needs, assessing potential for global loss trends and their potential impact to the Caribbean and Latin America portfolio; working with the insurance markets in Latin America including legal trends and their impact on underwriting and profitability; experience with primary policy wording standard in the Caribbean and Latin America; casualty lines of business including Motor, General Liability, and Professional Lines; evaluating claims and their potential validity within the local legal framework, policy wordings, and reinsurance terms and conditions. Requires fluency in reading, writing and speaking Spanish. Requires 25 domestic and international travel during the year for internal meetings and onsite client visits.br br Will accept any suitable combination of education, training andor experience.br br As a matter of business necessity, it is essential that a candidate for this position be fluent in English and Spanish. As stated in H.11, the primary duties of the job relate to contributing to the underwriting and servicing of the full range of Casualty accounts for clients in the Caribbean and Latin America. This requires the incumbent to act as the translator and the lead communicator to maintain adequate communications within our territorial scope which includes the Spanish speaking Caribbean and Latin America. A majority of the incumbents duties require fluency in Spanish at least 60 in order to maintain our profitable portfolio and the job offered could not be performed in a minimally competent and acceptable manner by a candidate who was not fluent in Spanish. Mr. Ponce, who is the beneficiary of this PERM application, is fluent in Spanish, which is required in order to perform the duties of the position of Senior Underwriter.
