Specific Skills

The two 2 years of experience required in Section H must be in predictive modeling and data mining. Experience must include two 2 years of experience, which may be concurrent, with all of the following 1 analyzing large data sets and applying datacleaning techniques along with performing statistical analyses leading to the understanding of the structure of data sets; 2 scripting experience using Perl, Bash, or similar on Linux to facilitate data analyses and model development; 3 developingcoding in at least two of the following programming languages Java, Python, C or C; 4 utilizing at least three of the following neural networks, logistic regression, nonlinear regression, random forests, decision trees, support vector machines, linearnonlinear optimization; 5 strong understanding of analytic metrics and the application thereof to evaluate model detection or prediction performance as well as the characterization of model behavior in both development and production environments. All experience may be gained concurrently and may have been gained before, during or after completion of the Masters degree program.
