Specific Skills

Minimum requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field plus 8 years of relevant experience in system development and architecture. Must have Thorough understanding of the application architecture and technologies for at least one major Guidewire Center such as PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimsCenter; Demonstrated knowledge of PC Insurance domain Policy, Claims, and Billing as per product requirements; Demonstrated knowledge and demonstrated ability with Java or GOSU programming; Demonstrated experience using Guidewire Version 8.0 at minimum and above, and performing minor and major Guidewire software upgrades; Demonstrated experience in Agile Development Methodology SCRUM in Guidewire projects to participate in scrum meetings, deliver user stories, source version control, and release management; Demonstrated knowledge using Jira and Clarity; Demonstrated experience in planning, designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, and maintaining GOSU language application code within Guidewire Policy Center, Claim Center andor Billing Center; Demonstrated experience assisting in GOSU code reviews, code cleanups, and performance sprint demos; Demonstrated experience configuring Guidewire operational and administration related parameters, for example, roles and permissions, user attributes regions, and activity patterns; Proven ability to perform in a consulting role on application architecture, business processing, andor system integration needs; and Proven ability to provide accurate estimates for development, testing, and implementation of enhancement or new development of Guidewire system functionality.
