Requires a masters degree or foreign equivalent degree in electrical engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in the position offered or 3 years of experience performing design, prototyping, qualification and commercialization planning for electronic controls including analogs and digital circuits. Also requires 3 years of experience working with crossfunctional teams, suppliers and customers; performing product design FMEA field return failure analysis; and using common ECAD software tools to design, document and analyze control hardware design. In lieu of a masters degree and 3 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a bachelors degree in the aforementioned fields and 5 years of experience as stated. Also requires 3 years of experience performing analog and digital design and supervising the construction of first prototypes of new design concepts; analyzing electronic methodologies and instrumentation; analyzing and interpreting technical procedures and government regulations including safety agency standards; performing cost analysis of electronic controls and designing to meet cost targets; presenting technical information to groups and senior management; applying common communications interfaces and serial protocols; working within multiple communications interfaces and protocols; and defining, and directing or executing hardware validation testing of embedded control designs to IEC 61000 and related standards using common test lab equipment. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
