Related experience must include Working with cuttingedge technology applications for the intelligent transportation industry; Use of Computer Aided Design CAD Software such as AutoDesk AutoCAD to draft ITS components, communications networks, network diagrams, fiber optic splice diagrams and power infrastructure for ITS projects; Use of document management software such as Adobe Acrobat to review technical documentation such as ITS plans, shop drawings, ITS technical specifications, and prepare technical meetings documents; Use of spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel to develop cost estimates, estimate ITS project quantities, perform electrical installations calculations; Previous work in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition SCADA software implementation in Transportation Management Centers to evaluate communication alternatives between ITS field devices and central operations centers. Related experience must also include Work in Florida Department of Transportation FDOT ITS construction projects, as well as FDOT highway lighting projects; Deploying ITS components including fiber optic communications systems, Closed Circuit Television CCTV cameras, Vehicle Detection Systems, Dynamic Message Signs DMS, Bluetooth devices as well as configuring those ITS components is required; Performing complex field acceptance tests on ITS equipment to develop test plans and procedures; Review of FDOT design plans, FDOT Standard Specifications, FDOT Standard Plans, and technical documentation developed by others such as shop drawings and ITS plans. Must have previous experience in Technical writing to support Regional Transportation Agencies activities, develop technical specifications and elaborate requirements for procurement of designbuild contractors for deploying ITS projects; Project management and related educationtraining. Travel to client sites within Florida is required 10 of the time.
