Employer requirementsbr A Candidates must be certified, licensed or licenseeligible in the state of Indiana.br B Education and Experience 1 Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA approved program and appropriate APA approved doctoral internship with a primary emphasis on clinical skills, in combination with two years of experience as a therapist, which may include postdoctoral andor predoctoral internships, practicum clinics andor residencies; experience on a college campus is preferred; of this, a 1 year must be spent exclusively in the treatment of substance abuse and addiction, and b 1 year must be with young adults, or 2 alternatively a i MSW with LCSW license or license eligible as LCSW is acceptable; or ii other education may be considered if in combination with LCAC or MAC certification; PLUS b three years of experience as a therapist as described above.br Details of Required Experience Required experience as outlined above must include I applying current models of substance abuse treatment and prevention e.g., training in motivational interviewing harm reduction; II working in a substance related rehab facility in group and individual formats for both sanctioned and voluntary populations; and III the application of ethical and legal standards around general practice and federal regulations governing AOD records.br Background Check Required.
