Bachelor degree in an ABET accredited electrical engineering program and 5 years of experience in PC engineering that must include 3 years of the following Station protective settings, including autotransformers, circuit breaker control, distribution transformers, motor operated switches and capacitor banks up to 345kV; Line settings for implementation on microprocessor relays, electromechanical relays and solidstate relays for systems up to 345kV. Settings work to include communication aided schemes, step distance, overcurrent, mutually coupled lines and misoperations and event analysis experience; PC project scope development for projects ranging from 4.16kV to 345kV; PC project construction and commissioning support for projects ranging from 4.16kV to 345kV; Developing PC OneLine Diagrams, schematics, wiring and logic diagrams utilizing MicroStation, AutoCAD, or similar software; and Applying PRC023 and PRC001 NERC standards. Alternatively, a masters degree in an ABET accredited electrical engineering program and 3 years of experience in PC engineering as specified above is acceptable. ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. NonABET accredited degrees in electrical engineering must be accompanied by a Professional Engineers PE license from any U.S. state or by a master degree or a Ph.D. from a university with an ABET accredited bachelor degree program in electrical engineering.
