Handson experience building and design knowledge of modelocked fiber oscillators using andi and soliton designs. Handson experience with singlemode, polarizationmaintaining, and specialty fiber splicing. Handson experience with supercontinuum generation in highly nonlinear photonic crystal fibers. Handson experience generating and stabilizing optical frequency combs including F2F carrier envelop stabilization technique. Experience implementing phase locked look electronics for stabilizing optical oscillators and frequency combs. Experience characterizing laser intensity, phase, and frequency noise utilizing RF devices such as amplifiers and mixers, and RF signal characterization instruments such as spectrum analyzers. Theoretical knowledge of design, and handson experience with optical parametric oscillators including femtosecondpumped doublyresonant cavities. Experience with instrument control for test and measurement using Labview. Theoretical knowledge and experience with numerical simulation techniques to model femtosecond pulse propagation, modelocked lasers, and laser noise properties using the splitstep method. Familiarity with Matlab, Phython and C programming languages to implement numerical simulations. Experience using spatiotemporal pulse characterization techniques. Experience with spatiotemporal beampulse shaping using spatial light modulators. Experience with soldering and PCB assembly. Experience working in cleanroom environment.
