Specific Skills

The five 5 years of experience required in Section H must be related experience. Must also have three 3 years of related experience which may have been gained concurrently with each of the following 1 building mathematical optimization models using the following mathematical programing techniques Linear programming, Mixed Integer Programming, Nonlinear programming, and custom heuristics using Xpress, Gurobi or CPLEX; 2 model improvement, tuning, and heuristics algorithm implementation to improve model results and solver efficiency, including experience building and using relational databases to capture and analyze model results; 3software development skills with 2 or more of the following languages Java, Python, R, or CC; 4 working with technical and nontechnical stakeholders with experience communicating the benefits of applying mathematical optimization to real business problems; 5 Graphical user interface development skills that enable business users to interact with models to change parameters, refresh data from databases, run the models, and analyze the results of the models within the graphical user interface andor by databasefile transfer. Experience building graphical user interfaces in 2 or more languages Java, JavaScript or CC. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Masters program. Domestic and international travel required up to 50 of the time.
