cont. from H.11 participate in project team discussions and public meetings to provide recommendations when revisions from authorities, clients and stakeholders groups are necessary and translate clients functional and spatial requirements for site and structures into conceptual design solutions, incorporating sustainable design principles; recommend materials to be used and assist in estimating quantities required; participate in specification setup and drawing coordination; evaluate and manage bids, estimates, and contract budgets, coordinate with project managers, clients, consultants, and contractors to respond to requests for information, clarifications, and modifications; conduct construction administration via weekly site visits and issuance of weekly field reports, respond to contractor request for information and detailed review of subcontractors shop drawings, submittalscut sheets on materials equipment, review of structural construction for architectural coordination, HVAC system layout and installation, installation of lighting fixtures, and installation of electrical equipment; assist with construction payment applications and change orders; ensure construction detail documentation confirms to quality assurancequality control standards; work with specification writer to develop specifications and coordinate drawings and specifications; free hand sketch for construction site discussions and problem solving with contractor; assist client, landlord, tenant andor contractor with authorities construction approvals; participate in business development meetings with team leaders to target specified project, client or market opportunities.br br Requires Bachelor of Architecture or foreign equivalent plus 3 years of experience to include coordinating all phases of architectural design process for small to large scale projects 250,000 sq ft, aviation, housing and school projects, from conceptual design through construction documentation, construction administration, including modifications to existing structural systems, space planning, custom detailing, new construction, renovation, and tenant improvement; understanding and implementing all applicable codes, standards and regulations including zoning regulations, building code compliance, barrier free compliance, and the integration of sustainable concepts into projects; understanding and implementing building typology specific guidelines and regulations; coordinating input from multiple partners to translate into site plans; developing site analysis studies requiring site photography, code research, base drawings, and diagrams; developing design concepts for competitions under expedited time constraints for coordination and document production; working in conjunction with sustainable design leadership in the continued improvement and development of highperformance design to maintain and improve the quality and consistency of design environment and deliverables; developing concept alternatives, studies and development requiring 3D digital massing, floor plans, space plans, building elevations, sections and perspectives; developing exterior envelope design requiring enlarged plans, elevations, sections, details and axonometric drawings; conducting material and product research for exteriors and interiors; coordinating BIM organization for all documents; preparing sketches, working drawings, architectural detail specifications for design presentations and internal coordination using 2D3D CAD and building information modeling programs, including Revit, AutoCad, 3D Studio Max, Sketch Up, Photoshop, and freehand sketching with markers, ink and pencils to develop design concepts and refine them into design solutions, producing clear and compelling design presentations for design and concept development for projects and competitions requiring expedited concept development and documentation production; cont. in K.9 Job 1
