Masters degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering willing to accept foreign education equivalent plus three 3 years of experience performing structural testing, including insitu load testing of structures, design and installation of insitu monitoring systems to measure structural performance, and testing of structural components. Specific skillsother requirements must also possess expertise in the following quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section designing and installing systems to measure and analyze loads, strains, deflections, vibrations, accelerations, temperature, and other variables in laboratory and field testing on structural components, buildings, bridges, and other structure; performing instrumentation and data acquisition, including working with Campbell Scientific, National Instruments, Mistras acoustics emission AE systems, Instantel, PCB Piezotronics accelerometers and Modal Impact Hammers, Geokon vibrating wire strain gage, and Vishay equipment systems and programming in LabView and CR Basic or other platforms; performing structural analysis and preparing calculation and drawing packages for review and permit application process using MathCAD and AutoCAD; creating 2D and 3D structural models and performing computer analysis with code required or custom developed load cases or other input cases using SAP2000 and CSI Bridge; and performing Finite Element Modeling of structural elements or systems using Abaqus and developing dynamic analysis of structures using Matlab. Travel required 30 within North America.
