Must possess at least 2 years experience with each of the following Mechanical design relating to product development and machine, structural, machine mounted system and thermal design in a regulated environment; Design methodologies related to fatigue, mechanical, test method development and characterization, material, stress, and failure analysis; Design for six sigma tools including risk activities, Safety and Design, FMEA Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Design for manufacturability and Design for assembly DFMDFA, DOE Design of Experiments, and design optimization; Plastic Extrusion and molding, Alpha and Beta 3D rapid prototyping, Mechanical Testing and Characterization; GDT geometric dimensioning and tolerance and tolerance stack up analysis; Validation of manufacturing and assembly processes; Design tools to include SolidWorks and creo ParametricProEngineering ProE; write and execute product test plans, verification validation test plans and reports; Lean Manufacturing Techniques and Statistical process control SPC; and ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and ASTM standards. 10 travel required for Conferences and physician engagement, review and round tables. Travel locations include Galway Ireland and lower 48 states.
