Specific Skills

The position requires a Bachelors degree in Business, Management, Finance or a closely related field or the foreign equivalent degree. We require at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience working for an international authorized electronic component distributor doing 1 Semiconductor and Interconnect, Passive Electromechanical IPE product marketing; and 2 purchasing and supplier management. This experience must include managing international procurement and distribution; managing inside sales teams, interdepartmental teams and task forces; contract negotiations; gross profit management; strategic global quoting, budgets and planning; and managing thousands of resale prices. Experience can be gained concurrently.br br Travel 4050 of the time 3040 is domestic and 10 is international. This role requires extensive travel for businessplanning reviews, trade shows, management support for staffing and review of opportunities to add to the supplier portfolio. Domestic travel across the US to visit supplier locations; international travel entails visiting DigiKey main offices outside of the United States with locations in Munich, Hong Kong, and Shanghai with several suppliers based in all global regions.
