Requires Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Design or related field plus 2 years experience in job offered or 2 years experience in related occupation using experience in Mechanical Design and FEA analysis; Fatigue analysis, Pressure wall thickness calculation; Hydraulic seal selection and calculation; generation of Assembly Procedures and Operation and Maintenance Manuals; performing continuous design and improvement of advanced sealing system with different configurations to suit enduser requirements; generating cathodic protection design and calculation based on Recommended Practice DNVRPB401 Cathodic Protection Design and experience in galvanic continuity check; Load capacity chart generation, performing empirical calcs and FEA to justify the structural capacity of tools meetsexceeds with the adjacent drill pipe i.e. commercially available drill pipe; performing QC measurement; seals material Nitrile, EPDM, Silicon andor Viton; polymers and elastomers Urethane, Nitrile; and fluid compatibility with water based hydraulic fluid; Material Test Report Reviewapproval; develop FEA tools using python coding; Tolerance Stackup analysis, documenting engineering calcs for third party review approval; PID generation using AutoCAD 2014 or higher; code specific structural calculations of test rig using MathCAD, spreadsheet, ASTM, ASME, ANSI, AGA, DNVGL; Field support including Installation, test and commissioning of advanced sealing systems on to OEM HX All TEMA Type HXs; and Tubesheet design per Div1 Appendix41. In lieu of Masters degree, employer will accept Bachelors degree in above listed fields plus 5 years of progressive work experience in related occupation. Experience may be gained concurrently. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.br br BUSINESS NECESSITY The position requires the above listed academic qualifications and work experience in order for the Senior Mechanical Engineer to be capable of performing the subject job duties detailed above in a normally accepted manner. The nature of the position requires providing advanced capabilities in solving complex business problems and creating solutions for the companys core areas. Understanding the process and problemsolving techniques for business processes as well as using the latest technology are key to the offered position. The subject position is not a runofthe mill or even entry level position. Rather, this position requires multifaceted and complex job duties that involve coordinating projects, taking responsibility for projects, and communicating with senior management and other departments both formally and informally to ensure that their needs and requirements are met.
