Requires a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, eligible for the NCEES Principles and Practice of Engineering PE structural examination in NY State, and 5 five years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or five 5 years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience recording design decisions, calculations, and project related records; responding to request for information RFIs; reviewing shop drawings; providing design of steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures through hand calculations and design software; providing on site structural engineering support to assist in the construction of the structural design documents as it relates to the existing structural conditions; utilizing SAP, ETABS, SAFE, PCA and MIDAS; utilizing applicable structural design codes IBC, ACI 318, and AISC 360.
