Fluency in the Japanese language is required to fulfill the duties of this position. Kintone Corporation was established in April 2011 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Cybozu, Inc. hereinafter Cybozu, a software company based in Tokyo, Japan, providing webbased office productivity platform services. In particular, in 2011, Kintone platform was launched by Cybozu as its first cloudbased, business application solution, used by over 1,000 companies across the world within only a couple of years from its launch. Following its success, Kintone established Kintone Corporation in San Francisco to continue to refine the platform for the U.S. Foremost, because our parent company, Cybozu is a wellknown, publicly listed company in Japan, a large percentage of the companys clients consist of the U.S. offices or U.S. subsidiaries of Japanese companies in various industries, who utilize our Kintone platform to increase team and workflow efficiency. These companies often have bilingual systems and programs both in Japanese and English, as they serve both Japanese and Englishspeaking employees and customers in the U.S. Thus, when our IT Content Support Project Manager develops and updates project plans including project scope and objectives, technical capacityupgrade, system assessment, software specifications, schedulebudget and staffing to develop secure applications and strengthen security compliance, she must be able to understand Japanese as the relevant data are both in Japanese and English. Second, most of our partner companies, such as the 3rd party software developers, are Japanese owned companies approximately 80. This is because, given the wellestablished reputation of our parent company as well as the fact that Kintone is developed only in Japan, we have thus far been most successful in seeking and closing partnership deals with Japanese companies. Accordingly, our IT Content Support Project Manager also liaises with these 3rd party technical partners and software developers who are mainly Japanese nationals in English and Japanese to integrate new applications, expand pluginsaddon and template application library while ensuring compatibility with Kintone platform. Lastly, since Kintone platform is developed, modified and updated at our parent headquarters in Japan, the IT Content Support Project Manager must confer in Japanese with engineers, software developers and other project team members of Cybozu in Japan, in order to identify, report and resolve any problems with Kintone platform, and fully execute IT projects. In other words, an IT Content Support Project Manager who cannot communicate, read and write in fluent Japanese will not be able to effectively perform the duties of this instant position as he is required to use Japanese on a daily basis.
