Minimum education and experience required Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, or foreign equivalent degree, 2 years experience in a process engineering or industrial engineering position or combination with a JIT automotive seating supplier. Special skills required Must have 2 years experience in each of the following leading continuous improvement of JIT plant production processes for vehicle complete seat product cycle from initial design to production release and postproduction support; providing training to JIT prototype builders on component assembly methods for complete vehicle seats; providing training to design engineers on DFA processes for complete seats; developing process technical specifications and runatrates calculations for JIT production of complete seats; developing and modifying JIT production process layouts for complete seat; defining production process for complete seat JIT assembly; designing and optimizing MTM and line balancing for JIT production of complete seats; defining trim to foam operations, and validating fixture design and performance for complete seat components; developing PFMEA activities to improve robustness of product design and JIT assembly process for complete seats; analyzing and improving work station ergonomics to minimize risk of worker injury. Experience may be acquired concurrently.
