This position requires a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering, plus 5 years of work experience in the development and design of special service tools and development of new vehicles andor new vehicle parts within the Automotive Industry. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with 1. 3D CAD software experience for modeling and design of new special service tools for repair of vehicles for both passenger and offroad vehicles; 2. Finite Element Analysis FEA experience to ensure proper safety considerations and to choose the appropriate material or design; 3. Failure Mode and Effects Analysis FMEA experience to theoretically analyze products for prevention of possible failures; 4. Design for Manufacturability DfM experience to ensure easy and high quality manufacturing of designed products; 5. Definition of Test Plans to ensure durability and strength of products e.g. overload testing, environmental testing; and 6. Geometric and Tolerance GDT and problem solving with quality methods e.g. Ishikawa, 5xWhy Method.
