Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Seven years of experience in high voltage 12.5kV 345kV substation design and power system protection to include conceptual and detailed engineering for substation protection control design; quality reviews for substation design and protective relay settings projects; protective relay applications, protective relay settings and system studies for power transmission distribution substationssystems; codes and standards for power system protection such as IEEE, NERCPRC standards; power system modelling, fault study analysis and relay coordination studies for transmission distribution systems; develop settings for industry leading protective relaying vendors e.g. SEL,GE, ABB and power system modelling analysis software e.g ASPEN, CAPE; and train lower level engineers. Four years of which must include project management and client coordination for protective relay settings and system studies projects; and develop project proposal, scoping, budgeting, staffing, scheduling and project execution. Professional engineer license is required. In lieu of a Bachelors degree plus 74 years of experience, the candidate may possess a Masters degree plus 52 years of experience as well as licensure noted above. This position requires domestic travel to worksites 20 of the time.
