Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or the foreign degree equivalent; and 2 years of work experience in energy and power production, 6 months experience related to boilers and solid fuel combustion, including experience in each of the following Performance and energy efficiency improvement in boilers using solid fuels; Evaluating boiler combustion air system modifications and operations; Natural circulation boilers; Generate mathematical models for gas to gas and gas to water heat transfer; Develop methods to reduce CO, NOx and particulate matter from biomass combustion; Conduct field testing using flow measurements and flue gas chemical diagnostics on boilers; Develop chemical and thermodynamic models; and Heat and mass transfer analysis of power plant components.
