Requires a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Safety Technology, Biotechnology or a related science field and 3 years of professional or graduatelevel academic research experience in the job offered or in a food microbiology laboratory. In lieu of a Masters degree in stated field and 3 years of experience as stated, will accept a Bachelors degree in stated field and 5 years of experience in a food microbiology laboratory. All stated experience must include the following microbiological analysis including pathogen analysis; microbiological research method development, validation and implementation; Microbial Challenge Study design, execution and statistical analysis; and, working in a certified Good Manufacturing Practice GMP or Good Laboratory Practice GLP environment. Must also have 1 year of experience working with food safety including HACCP. Experience may be gained concurrently.
