Experience must include three years of performing financial analytics in the public utilities and oil gas industries; utilizing audit software, including engagement management software to perform tracking and forecasting for engagements, and developing workpapers using specialized audit or accounting software; auditing financial statements including reviews of quarterly financial information; utilizing advanced Excel tools including Pivot Tables, VLookup, and macros, and performing technical research of complex accounting issues; interacting directly with senior management of the team and clients to discuss auditing findings, issues, and resolution of the engagement; performing audits and applying complex engagements under GAAS, GAAP, IAS, PCAOB, AICPA auditing standards, SOX, and IFRS; working with complex areas of clients balance sheets and income statements, including goodwill, complex investments, management estimates, income taxes, and asset impairment; designing, implementing, testing, and assessing deficiencies of internal controls; mentoring and coaching junior staff; and applying environmental regulations and regulatory accounting for the Public Utilities and Oil Gas industries. In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Bachelors degree and five years of experience as noted above.
