Minimum education required Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or Quality Engineering or foreign equivalent degree. Minimum experience required 2 years experience in a quality engineering position with a Tier1 automotive supplier. Special skills required Must have 2 years experience in each of the following reviewing customer blueprints including GDT data to determine manufacturing processes for emissions control systems and components; applying OEM quality requirements, including traceability and leak rate; performing weld analysis including destruction testing to evaluate welding integrity weld penetration, porosity, cold weld, undercut, and weld fusion; performing internal quality audits to validate weld parameters, leak testers airflow, poke yoke, and scrap; liaising with customer to develop PPAP documentation; calculating gauge calibration and developing preventative maintenance for gauges. Experience may be acquired concurrently.
