Specific Skills

This position requires a Doctor of Medicine M.D. degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited medical school plus five 5 years of postfellowship or postadvanced residency experience in Addiction Psychiatry. Must have at least 60 months of demonstrated experience with each of the following 1 initiation and maintenance of medication assisted treatment for opioid, alcohol, and nicotine substance use disorders; 2 use of sublingual Buprenorphine for opioid use disorders, oral and intramuscular Naltrexone, acamprosate, disulfiram, varenicline, nicotine agonist therapy, bupropion and methadone in inpatient and outpatient settings; 3 management of mild to severe forms of withdrawal syndromes including alcohol; 4 diagnosis and treatment of comorbid substance abuse disorders and psychiatric disorders; and 5 leading multispecialty teams in the treatment of dual diagnosis patients. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Requires a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Minnesota. Must be Board certified in Psychiatry. Must have completed an ACGMEaccredited addiction psychiatry advanced residency or fellowship program. Fulltime position located in Fridley, MN. Fulltime work schedule is 40 hours per week, MF from 85 plus weekend call as needed.
