Requires one year of work experience, gained over the course of at least three full winter ski seasons, in Coaching and instructing crosscountry ski team and individual athletes in the fundamentals of competitive and recreational cross country skiing; Planning, facilitating, developing, and implementing progressional cross country ski training plans and shortterm and longterm goals for teams and individual athletes, both on and offseason, and both dry land and onsnow; Leading cross country skiing training camps; Coaching skiers in preparing for and participating in competitions, including developing and implementing competitive strategies for cross country ski teams and individual skiers; Representing the organization with constituents, including the public, potential recruits, and sponsors in fundraising events, marketing activities, community service events, and athletic clinics; Holding a leadership position in a Division 1 National Collegiate Athletic Association NCAA cross country ski team or a United States Ski Snowboard member cross country ski team; and Trail design, construction and maintenance of cross country ski trails for both skate skiing and classic style tracks, including the operation and basic routine maintenance of snowmobiles, ski trail grooming implements, and chainsaws.br br Requires Education or Experience in Sports Leadership; Risk Management in Sport; Financing in Sport; Sports Psychology; Human Nutrition; Athletic Training; Anatomy and Physiology; Exercise Physiology; and Kinesiology.br br Requires Competitive Experience Two years of competitive training and racing skiing experience competing as a member of a Division 1 National Collegiate Athletic Association NCAA ski team or equivalent level of competitive skiing.
