This position requires that a successful candidate must have a PhD or foreign equivalent in Statistics or related field and 1 year or a Masters degree and three years of experience in a Statistician role or closely related occupation. In March 2014, Mr. Xu was awarded a Ph.D. in Statistics by the University of Wisconsin. Therefore, Mr. Xu clearly meets the educational requirement for the position.br br Mr. Xu readily meets the experience requirement through his prior experience with Capital One, N.A., as outlined below.br br Mr. Xu was employed as a Senior Statistician by Capital One, N.A. from April 7, 2014 to October 2, 2015. In this capacity, Mr. Xu led the application and validation of mathematical and statistical methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize econometric data in order to assist in decisionmaking and support the development of business strategy. He performed statistical modeling, validation, testing, analysis, and forecasting of various econometric factors affecting performance of a product or business line utilizing qualitative and quantitative data analysis and reporting, statistical modeling, multivariate linear and logistic regression, and experimental design. Moreover, Mr. Xu owned statistical data modeling and related analytical projects throughout the lifecycle. He assessed data quality, prepare data for processing, built, analyzed and interpreted statistical data to support business decisions. He identified opportunities to apply statistics to improve business performance. Additionally, Mr. Xu utilized Data Mining, predictive modeling, text mining, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.br br As a result of his more than one 1 year of qualifying experience as described above, Mr. Xu meets the experience requirement for the position.
