The BWH MGH Center for Clinical Data Science CCDS aims to transform healthcare through cuttingedge data science, machine learning artificial intelligence. CCDS combines a translational, productfocused, earlystage culture with worldclass researchers, physicians datacomputing resources at Harvardaffiliated MGH BWH, as well as the broader Partners HealthCare system. Through direct access to vast stores of biomedical data, decades of clinical experience, deep expertise in the latest advances in cognitive computing, CCDS leads AI enabled advancements in medicine. A core requirement is to interface with clinicians hospital personnel to identify opportunities, spearhead the development of machine learning solutions, and proceed with the implementation of these solutions. The position serves as a critical member of CCDS software engineering team, responsible for building leading a team of SW engineers to create productready, clinically relevant software. The position involves managing providing technical supervision for a team of 6 engineers, participating in staff hiring, training development, as well as mentoring completing performance reviews. It also involves working as a contributor to the software development effort, both backend frontend. This position will balance multiple projects with multiple deliverables. An individual in this role must possess not only theoretical comprehension of computer science, but also extensive experience developing deploying software products, including managing or leading technical projects teams, providing technical guidance managing development lifecycles time lines. It further demands the ability to apply this understanding to the development of cuttingedge, machine learning tools products. Completion of a Bachelors deg. program in Comp. Sc., Comp. Eng., Software Eng. or a rel. field provides a candidate with a holistic understanding of computer systems with a focus on how organizations use them, as well as the ability to analyze design information systems, study humancomputer interaction, information architecture management. These degree programs also provide an opportunity to apply this knowledge in practical settings through rigorous coursework research projects that simulate realworld challenges problem resolution.
