cont. from H.11 conduct postoccupancy evaluation and review of clients use of space; assist the Director of Interior Design with any other project deliverables, schedules, and problemsolving exercises on occurrence.br br Requires Bachelors degree in Interior Design or foreign equivalent plus 2 years of experience to include developing and executing appropriate design solutions to produce preliminary space plans, furniture plans, finish floor plans, power and communication plans, elevations and sections, conceptual and finished level design presentations, detailed design specifications, and finish material boards; gathering ideas for lighting design based on the projects overall design concept and operational needs of the facility, using photometric data and available research on innovative solutions to effectively distribute indoor lighting while conserving energy; generating reflected ceiling plans using various ceiling systems and strategic placement of light fixtures in defined zones to work effectively alongside numerous ceiling elements such as air diffusers and ductwork from HVAC Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems, as well as other equipment and devices pertaining to AV, low voltage, security, and fire protection systems; using the appropriate tools and methods to program a facility based on an analysis of clients spatial needs, including a stepbystep process to collect and evaluate departmental information, visioning sessions, and project site visits; preparing test fit plans for undecided project locations prior to tenant signing off on a lease agreement, confirming that all spatial requirements will be met per the facilitys program, and providing an insight of buildingspecific characteristics and siterelated factors that may need to be accommodated; assisting in preparing Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment FFE schedules, including appropriate furniture standards and finish selection for durability, maintenance, and effective use of color schemes and specifications; preparing renderings at all phases of design using CAD ComputerAided Design 2D3D rendering, modeling and visualization software, including but not limited to Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and Photoshop; coordinating with mechanical, electrical, plumbing MEP, civil, structural, and other engineers and architects, as well as consultants that specialize in AV, low voltage, security, commercial kitchens, building acoustics, and special systems, as appropriate to effectively incorporate relevant systems into designs; producing construction documents based on the design approach approved in previous design phases, using project knowledge and incorporating the International Building Code IBC, alongside other national and regional code compliance regulations including ADAAG Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines TAS Texas Accessibility Standards; creating codecompliant life safety plans, calculate occupant load and the minimum required plumbing fixtures in preparation for a permit set to be reviewed by the city; researching alternative design solutions based on the pricing package where the proposed use of materials or methods of execution exceed the client project budget; reviewing shop drawings, mockups, finish samples, product specifications and other materials submitted by project contractors for content and accuracy; responding to formal requests for information RFIs from contractors, issue proposed change orders, document site conditions and work progress, and distribute field reports for record during construction; assisting the Director of Interior Design with any other project deliverables, schedules, and problemsolving exercises on occurrence.
