cont. from H.11 develop and execute appropriate design solutions to produce space plans, furniture plans, elevations, detailed design specifications, conceptual and finished design presentation documentation, reflected ceiling plans, and construction documentation, incorporating LEED sustainable design principles; research and recommend environmentally friendly materials for projects; coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection MEPFP, lighting, landscape, code, traffic, parking, kitchen, zoning, signage, acoustic, security, curtain wall, faade maintenance, special systems, geotechnical, baggage handling, vertical transportation, and structural consultants to incorporate engineering systems into unified design for client and agency review and approval; assist in evaluating general contractor bids and project budgets and coordinate construction budgets with clients and contractors to respond to Requests for Information RFIs and review and respond to contractor change orders, including conformance with budgets and payments; perform necessary modifications of drawings and specifications as construction projects progress and changes in dimensions, materials, and other aspects of design arise from client, agency or public input; review of contractors subcontractors shop drawings, submittals cut sheets on materials equipment, review of structural construction for architectural coordination, HVAC system layout and installation, installation of lighting fixtures, and installation of electrical equipment; assist with construction payment applications; manage project data, transmission and all electronic communications using Project File Management software including Newforma; conduct weekly site visits and progress meetings to observe construction progress and assist in preparing field observation reports, final inspections, punch lists, and certificates of substantial completion; assist in preparing LEED documents and submitting reports on USGBC LEED online; conduct postoccupancy review of clients use of space and site.br br Requires Bachelor of Architecture 5 year or foreign equivalent and 2 years of experience to include assisting in programmingstrategic planning and all phases of large scale projects, specially focusing on Education, Mixeduse, Highrise, Corporate Commercial, and Master Planning projects, including new construction, renovation, tenant improvement and unit plans; translating and coordinating documents including design briefs with local offices and assist project manager in preparing Request For Proposal RFP; conducting site reconnaissance, site investigations, and onsite charrettes, using GIS; coordinating input from multiple senior designers and principals to translate into site plans; conducting design and concept development for competitions requiring expedited concept development and document production; analyzing existing as built drawings, sketches, photographs, notes, and other input material to determine best approaches for completion of drawings to solve technical issues of design in relation to sites and buildings; researching for building codes compliance, barrier free compliance, and the integration of sustainable concepts into projects; preparing and incorporating weather data analysis to identify passive design potential based on the local climate and building use to minimize building energy needs and maximize the energy savings; producing virtual design simulations to integrate collaborative work flow from project team and to identify design conflicts using the intelligence of the software and communicate solutions for design development; cont. in K.9 Job 1
