Experience must include eighteen months of advising clients in the oil and gas industry on complex accounting areas, including financial reporting and internal controls, accounting and reporting compliance improvement and transformation derivatives, leases, revenue recognition, ERP processes, and carveout financial statements for divestiture transactions; evaluating financial modelscalculations to assist with valuation of items as well as presenting models to diverse audiences and client experts; testing hedging and trading activities related to financial derivatives under IFRS and US GAAP standards, including reviewing natural gas and power derivatives, ASC 815, ASC 820, IAS 32, and IAS 39 financial reporting and disclosures, credit valuation adjustment analysis, and technical accounting treatment of Day 1 PL items; performing audits under Generally Accepted Auditing Standards GAAS, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles GAAP, Public Company Accounting Oversight Board PCAOB, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants AICPA auditing standards, and Sarbanes OxleySOX; performing technical research of complex accounting issues; utilizing advanced Excel tools including Pivot Tables, VLookup, macros, and programming in languages including SAS, MATLAB, and VBA; conducting data analytics, data mining, data migration, and data scrubbing; utilizing ERP finance and reporting packages including SAP and Oracle; working with large databases and query languages including SQL; and mentoring, coaching, and reviewing work of junior staff. Position requires 80 travel.
