Seven 7 of the ten 10 years of experience required in design and development of the Control System using Matlab, Simulink and or LabView.br br Technology Application Manager Experience Justificationbr br Achates Power Inc. is a mediumsized business and does not employ a Technology Application Manager onsite at each of its facilities. Due to this fact, the Headquartersbased Technology Application Manager is tasked with providing support for each of the companys facilities upon demand. Support demands may be as varied as coordinating the design, development and testing of aftertreatment to meet present and future regulatory standards chassis and dyno certification of Achatess OP engine, interfacing with base engine P E, controls, OBD and engineers to evaluate tradeoffs between engine HW, calibration and the impact on exhaust aftertreatment, evaluation of alternative aftertreatment architectures with the OP engine, creation of IP disclosures for innovative solutions, and presenting papers at industry conferences.br br Each of these tasks requires the ability to apply previously gained knowledge and experience to be able to successfully complete. It is preferable that these prior work experiences are gained through working with different companies. Achates prides itself on its culture of continuous improvement and prior experiences with different companies offer the ability for the Technology Application Manager to introduce new ideas and concepts to Achates, thereby allowing our company to stay ahead of the competition.br br Without these prior work experiences, the Technology Application Manager would not have the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position and to adapt to the varying requirements and needs of each of our customers. Coordinating and leading the design, development, and testing of aftertreatments for Achates Opposed Piston OP Engine requires significant prior experience in performing these tasks on embedded diesel engine control systems.br br The Technology Application Manager is required to travel to other Company facilities located in Michigan. A Technology Application Manager, with the required minimum experience, is able to effectively work and perform their job duties, in different environments and locations without supervision. It is critical that aftertreatments for Achates Opposed Piston OP Engines implemented by the Technology Application Manager are successful, thus keeping related time and costs to a minimum.br br Through years of industry experience, Achates Power Inc. has determined that a Technology Application Manager cannot even begin to adequately perform the duties and responsibilities of the position without having attained a minimum of ten 10 years of prior work experience and knowledge as set forth above and in the ETA9089 submitted by our company. The nature of the industry and business environment in which Achates Power operates is fast paced and ever changing. It is impossible for a person to attain all of the skills necessary during a reasonable period of onthejob training.
