Design technical drawing and review of technical drawings of passive restraint system components including steering wheel and airbag components and assemblies.br br Experience may be obtained concurrently.br br This is a key position with Joyson Safety Systems Acquisition, responsible in part for analyzing data to develop new designs for passive restraint system components including automobile airbags and steering wheels using design FMEA, DOE, 8D, 5P; designing passive restraint system components and systems including automobile airbags and steering wheels; and coordinating the building and modification of passive restraint system components including automobile airbags and steering wheels. Because this is a key and critical position, requiring extensive knowledge of, as well as experience with, applicable passive restraint system concepts and issues, a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or foreign equivalent education, and 4 years experience working in the passive restraint system industry, is required, as the position involves directing the testing activities on passive restraint system components including automobile airbags and steering wheels under designated conditions; and altering and modifying design for passive restraint system components including automobile airbags and steering wheels, to obtain specified functional and operational performance.
