Bachelors or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field willing to accept foreign education equivalent plus eighteen months of experience computing federal and local research and development tax credits. Experience must include eighteen months of advising clients in regard to strategies to maximize global including EU, federal, and local tax incentives, and writing tax memoranda on specific tax issues for tax incentives; conducting interviews with various Subject Matter Experts to understand and identify qualified activities to substantiate the RD tax credit in accordance with appropriate legislation and government incentives within multiple industries; performing quantitative and qualitative research, including tax research, project summaries, department overviews, activity descriptions and methodology memos; analyzing complex client data utilizing MS Excel to compute federal and local RD tax credits and government incentives, and preparing the adequate tax schedules using tax return software; collaborating with onshore and offshore staff level consultants on large compliance RD and government incentives engagements, and contributing to staff level consultant training and coaching; completing tax compliance reconciliations of the RD tax credit, preparing and reviewing RD tax credit calculations for tax provision, preparing and reviewing due diligence work papers, and assisting clients with the FIN48 calculation; responding to RD and government incentives audits by preparing work papers and preparing clients for meetings with audit officials; monitoring project financials including charge hours and engagement team member schedules; and reviewing projects including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and timely billing of fees by analyzing expenses.
