Specific Skills

Bachelors or higher degree in Accounting or related field willing to accept foreign education equivalent plus five years of accounting and auditing experience. Experience must include five years of performing audits under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles GAAP and Public Company Oversight Board PCAOB; reviewing clients annual reports and interacting with clients to discuss audit issues; working with complex areas of clients balance sheets and income statements, including goodwill, complex investments, management estimates, and income taxes; testing and evaluating the design and implementation as well as assessing deficiencies in internal controls; interacting with accounting and auditing specialists within complex accounting areas, including pricing, tax, and information technology specialists; utilizing advanced Excel tools including Pivot Tables, VLookup, and macros; performing audits utilizing auditing techniques including risk assessment, audit scoping, devising audit approaches, controls testing, and substantive audit testing including sampling techniques; and interacting directly with senior management of the audit team and audit clients to discuss auditing findings, issues, and resolution. Experience must include two years of performing audits under American Institute of Certified Public Accountants AICPA auditing standards; performing audits under International Standards on Auditing ISA, Sarbanes Oxley SOX, and International Financial Reporting Standards IFRS; supervising engagements, including full life cycle of audit, staffing, budgeting, and closing out projects; and auditing financial institutions including hedge funds, funds of funds, large commercial banks and brokerdealers. Position requires 80 travel.
