Masters in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or related field 7 years scientific process development experience with bioreactors. Prior experience must include 2 years of the following analysis and characterization of biopharmaceutical data; cell culture process development; fermentation process development; experience with bench scale bioreactors, large scale Xcellerex bioreactors and fermentors; cell culture harvest clarifications with depth filtration and centrifugation; WAVE bioreactors including 20L and 50L scale; Ambr15 and Ambr250 microbioreactors; NOVA, BioHT, ViCell and ABL80 analyzers; DOE and statistical analysis using software such as JMP. Must also possess experience with the following working independently with minimal supervision on cell culture bioreactor projects; analyzing and interpreting broad scientific principles to provide technical leadership; chromatographic purification principles and product quality attributes such as glycosylation; technology transfer for cGMP manufacturing and providing technical support for cGMP manufacturing; preparing and presenting scientific program or task development updates, both orally and in writing, to internal and external audiences; coordinating cross functional teams; interpreting and working with relevant regulatory requirements for cGMP manufacturing; and mentoring and leading others on scientific process development, including safety compliance. Up to 5 domestic and international travel for business meetings.br br J.12 Dr. Shaunak Dilip Uplekar attained a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Biochemical Engineering in December 2013 from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, an accredited institution of higher education in the United States. Dr. Uplekar also attained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Food Technology and Engineering in December 2005 and a Master of Technology degree in Bioprocess Technology in December 2008 from the University of Mumbai Institute of Chemical Technology in Mumbai, India.
