Specific Skills

The candidate must have the following experience investigating existing subsurface conditions and materials; determining their physicalmechanical and chemical properties that are relevant to the project requirements and employ the physical data to evaluate the interaction between the earthworks or structure foundations with the earth materials; utilizing knowledge of soil and rock properties, subsurface exploration techniques and analytical methods to evaluate soilstructure interaction; using various software packages to perform their analytical duties and basic geotechnical engineering methods to evaluate soil settlement, stability of slopes, seepage and lateral stability to provide data, information and analytical results to the senior staff; and performing geotechnical analyses using computer software including SEEPW for seepage analyses, SLOPEW for slope stability analyses, and GMSMODFLOW for groundwater flow simulations.
