Specific Skills

This position requires a Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field plus one year of retirement actuarial experience. One year of experience must include 1. Actuarial projects focused on assessing short and longterm costs of pension, retirement, and related benefit plans; 2. ProVal system to calculate pension valuations; 3. Providing 401k actuarial consulting; 4. Preparing and reviewing deliverables, including Annual Funding Notices, AFTAP Certifications, and proxy calculations; 5. Performing and reviewing singleemployer pension plans; 6. Nondiscrimination testing NDT for pension plans; 7. Actuarial valuation reports and government filings such as PBGC 4010, PBGC premium filings, and Schedule SB; and 8. PPArelated certifications and election letters for pension plans. Must have passed at least three of the following SOA or equivalent CAS actuarial exams Exam FM Financial Mathematics; Exam P Probability; Exam IFM Investment and Financial Markets formerly Exam MFE; Exam LTAM LongTerm Actuarial Mathematics formerly Exam MLC; Exam STAM ShortTerm Actuarial Mathematics formerly Exam C. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
