Specific Skills

Responsible for the general repair and maintenance of fleet of heavybr transport trucks and trailers used in the oilfield services industry,br primarily in the transportation of produced water. Thebr position willbr entail the repair and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systemsbr on both the trucks and trailers including Inspecting, adjusting,br replacing brake systems for proper functioning, repairing andbr lubricating chassis, aligning and repairing suspension systems,br repairing starters and alternators, rewiring and repairing dashboardbr gauge instrumentation systems, welding stress cracks on truck frames,br repairing tires, preventive maintenance on trucks such as oil changesbr and air filter changes, repairing truck cooling systems such asbr radiators and hoses, replacing clutches on trucks, repairing truckbr heating and air conditioning systems, repairing and maintaining dieselbr emission systems and exhaust cleanouts , using voltmeters,br computerscode scanners with corresponding diagnostic software, andbr pressure gauges to diagnose malfunctions in trucks andbr trailers. Mustbr know how to operate voltmeters, arc welding equipment, andbr oxyacetylene, welding equipment, how to weld aluminum and to usebr Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link 8.3 software, Detroit Diesel Diagnosticbr Link 6.5 software for pre2005 models or comparable software.br Excellent verbal written skills. Must know how to usebr industrystandard hand and power tools. Will consider suitablebr combination of education, training or experience.
